(part 1 of 3 of the June 2006 hospital stay...)1:10 am Monday, 19 June 2006Well, getting to the end of day 3 in the hospital...
Waitasec, in the hospital AGAIN??? Yup. Friday (the 16th) I woke up at about this time (1am) with constant pain in the upper right quadrant (URQ) of my abdomen - which is where my known strictures happen to be. By 4:30am I had tried both Tylenol and Lepetan – neither worked at all, and usually the Lepetan doesn’t just kill any pain I have, it STAYS gone. With that happening, I woke Mom up and had her take me to the ER (it had also spread to my back, and was seeming to stabilize at 4/10 in both places – I was going to have a hard time enduring long enough to see the doctor at 9am to get it checked out, plus this was NOT acting like the usual Crohn’s pain!
Constant abdominal pain is not normal, referring to the back isn’t either, and not being treatable with the pain meds (I gave the Tylenol 2 hours to work and the Lepetan and hour and a half, knowing they both work within 45 minutes usually) even less so.
( Rest of part 1... )
