Well, I've got my room sorted out - just gotta bring everything UP to it now! I'll probably do that while my family is going to a beach this afternoon... (I don't really feel like going. I'm still a little beat up from the flare earlier this week.)

VERY pretty song, in both versions - I'll send them to people once I'm back online if they're wanted.

Mom has to speak in church tomorrow, so I'm helping her find material.

Gotta run...

We're getting our new phone number tomorrow, I've unpacked MOST of my room. (Not all of it, however.) I'll unpack and set up one of the computers tomorrow, but still won't have internet for a few weeks.

My family says the fireworks last night were fun - unfortunately, I got bit by a flare and couldn't attend. I probably WILL have to go into the hospital for 7 days or so next week after my brother leaves - I'm just getting sick too often. I'm lucky I've lasted this long without a severe flare [It's been almost 9 months - the previous 9 months to that, I ended up spending 60 days in the hospital. I've been doing much better.]

We're at the community center again - we just got him his bank account to have them deposit his pay into. He leaves Tuesday morning our time, gets to Lackland AFB Tuesday night their time. So we're counting down the days.

Well, we're moved out. We passed the inspection the second time on Friday at 3:30 (the first inspection was Friday at 10 - they told us to do about 6 things!) and all we could do after that was collapse.

We're unpacking now - the kitchen is unpacked, the TV is set up "temporary-style" so we can watch DVD's and play on the Playstation, the computers are not set up yet, no phone or internet (we're using cell phones at the moment), my room is getting unpacked slowly... other rooms still have lots of boxes in them.

I'm at the community center using their computers (have 28 minutes left) to type this - the Japanese voice-post number has not been working the past few days.

We went over and took pictures of the damage to the new house, and saw this beautiful sight out of our back yard:

MOM HAS THE KEY! They're coming tomorrow at 8 (instead of just on Wednesday - they say they'll need 2 loads) to start picking up the stuff and our furniture, and our government furniture drop-off will be in the afternoon tomorrow.
sleepless
(Friday) I'm felling better now. Combination of stress and bad food did me in for a bit.

Well, we ARE moving next week.

I'll actually have a US phone number to post here, as opposed to a Japanese one! (Actually, I'll have both. We'll need both.)

(Monday) Well, we're finally getting the key today, I think. Then we take pictures of the place (I have the camera, so I'll post them here as soon as I can) and move a few things. Tuesday is our furniture delivery (which is why we were worrying about being able to get the key to the place today) and Wednesday we'll be packed out.

I ended up skipping church again Sunday - Mom told me they're checking everybody's ID's going into Foster, so I couldn't have gotten to church if I had tried — at least not easily!

Yes, I'm stressed, but I'll get through it.

One of my brothers is up at a Scout camp this week, too. (He volunteered to help out, not realizing this week would be impossible for us!  The doctor wanted to see me today, but I told him no, next week would have to do.

Next few entries will be voiceposts - don't worry about me being in the hospital unless I mention it! (For [info]kristy's benefit, as well as other people that are new here, about the only time I voicepost is in the hospital - and then once every few days with all the TMI you can imagine... *grin* )

As I saw on some of my Mom's books: There's what you had planned. And then there's what happens next. Certainly seems to fit right now.

The typhoon of my life has blown over, it seems...

Well, the move is now scheduled. Mom and I went to the housing office today.  We're getting a new issue of furniture on the 26th, and we actually move on the 27th (TMO will pack us up the morning of the 27th and truck it down the 10 km or so once we're packed, and we'll have to START unpacking that afternoon/evening (I think we're going to be too whipped to do much that night - I GUARANTEE I will be).

[I think that was why I was so "off" this morning.. just the not knowing.]

Finished with that help file - once I finish writing this entry, I'll quickly test things out with the program, and then I'm DONE unless he finds a bug.

Got some new books, too... (did some trading in at the library and the USO.)

(As I'm reading this, it says people think I'm 33 - that's close enough to accurate. I may have had a bad day when that was taken, because people usually comment I look younger, and I tend to get "first-named" in church, or at best, "Brother Curtis", rather than the "Brother <last-name>" that adults usually refer to one another as.)

The last two to three days have been hectic... life has decided to lay in a typhoon!  I haven't even had TIME to have bad health... and I'm thankful I really haven't.

Well, Tuesday afternoon we officially paid what they call the "agency fee".  So we're committed to moving to the house in Kitanagasuku Village now. Now sometime within the next two to three weeks we'll be moving.

So many people are leaving the family branch this summer that Mom had to go to two sayonara lunches for a group of six people, plus a dinner Tuesday night for someone else.

My sister has been getting out of school at 10:30 this week (all they're doing is final exams) - one more day of that and she's done, thank goodness!

Wednesday afternoon was the pre-inspection to let the housing office on base see what's needed to do to the place - I think we're just going to pay out the money to have them clean it, it'd be too much of a project! But EVERYBODY had to clean their rooms for the inspection - and we honestly needed to.  I feel better knowing that the room is at least (temporarily) clean and I have room to move around in!

Had to burn a bunch of CD's for my Dad the day before yesterday (Tuesday) - and I found out the new printer is too smart to print out on the CD label paper, and the BX was out of CD paper!  Had to borrow his cheapie "work printer" that he brings to work to print it!

The timing with everything had just been so bad yesterday (Wednesday) that I even had to cancel my doctor's appointment!  It's been rescheduled for next Monday.  I did say I had reasonably good health - I told him the only thing that went on was a bad gas attack on Sunday and what I call "antibiotic diarrhea" since Saturday or so.  For me, that's reasonably good, especially compared to the week before!

One good thing - I finally am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with the programming project for Dad.  I'm taking screenshots and writing the help file now.

BTW, happy birthday, [info]princess_design!

Here's a few quotes... )
